The Great Wall of China built in the
Ming Dynasty, over 500 years ago, an absolute must see.
Our tour guide said it wasn't far to
walk to the top, there was the option of going by cable car, but
we all set off on foot.
Here is Howard pausing to take in a
little oxygen. Every time you turned a corner the steps went on
for ever....but you had to keep moving otherwise the horse flies
were at your legs.
Catherine being a fit person took it all
in her stride and brought up the rear with the slower members of
the party.
Having being overtaken by Catherine, Pat and just
about everybody else I made it to the top of the wall to be
greeted by this wonderful sight. The Great wall stretches away for
as far as you can see.
And who is that disappearing into the
distance in exactly the opposite direction to everybody
else?
